By now I hope you know that this the Pennsylvania label Earth.Space.Noise Labs is releasing a series of cassettes in complete anonymity for the pure sake of noise worship. I respect this concept and it's idealism that sheds the sound from all social and political restraints and lets the noise speak for itself. The only hint we are given here is the artwork, difficult to decipher as always with it's black in on heavy black stock, but still so effective as it depicts angels watching as a man struggles to lift up a large metal globe.

The opening track here I find the most effective with it's rumbling textures building into large swells of droning noise undulating and fading across the barren landscape. Somewhat minimalist and certainly quite dark and bleak. There are two tracks on side A with the second being quite a bit more dull, using a similar low ton as the base and a few more layers on top of that. The sounds aren't anything special and sometimes they strike me as being more plain then I would prefer.

Side B is comprised of one long track once again employing the pushy, pulsating feedback drone that seems to be featured in all of these tracks as the base element. There are some industrial sounds featured here with scrap metal being slammed around, abused and generally misused. The track is long and some of the other layers I feel to be kind of boring and sound out of place. The mid-ranged feedback being especially dull.

The material featured here probably reminds me most of Werewolf Jerusalem or some other kind of droning noise. I find it generally to be a bit weak and ineffective, generic and forgettable, but it's not all that bad. The sounds are put together with some thought, the different layers are defined enough to keep my attention and the aggressive, dark atmosphere is in the right place.
