The Artists

Indignant Senility (Portland, OR)

Indignant Senility – Color Absolution

Indignant Senility is a rotten-ambient 1-man band with a heavy emphasis on theft and degradation of classical music, among other things.

Benjamin Nelson (Boston, MA)

Benjamin Nelson – Live @ The Piano Factory (excerpt)

Influenced by early minimalism, Nelson’s music focuses on extremes such as duration, volume, or lack thereof to explore their effects on hearing, stream separation, and to reveal often hidden but dramatic shifts in overtones, spectrum and phase. Integrating electronics, acoustic sound, and environment Nelson seeks to avoid the often sterile trappings associated with generative or systematic composition, as well as the overly spiritual , falsely mystified, or passive listening notions associated with long form music.

Permanent Waves (Boston, MA)

Permanent Waves – Untitled V

Metal and flesh to tape. No purpose electronics. Stagnancy and rot.

“… It must have been here, at this particular juncture, that his problem had begun and would end… he was certain enough about the sensation that spread through his neck and back, week by week, month by month, constantly increasing in intensity, knowing that…this whole affair… was bound lead to the terminal decay of the union of skull in spine, culminating in the condition, not to beat around the bush, for why should one, said Korin pointing to his neck, hereby this frail piece of skin finally gave out when we would inevitably lose his head.” – LK

Vat (Boston, MA)

Vat – Inspecting the Genitals

Harsh noise project from the main entity behind wall noise lurker Lungwash.

Weak Sisters (Providence, RI)

Harsh cut-up degraded noise from Providence.
