To start the year off, two tapes are up for grabs – Grutch<\/u> – Held<\/i> and Nycterent\/Scrotal Tear<\/u> split. Details on these two tapes and details for how to acquire these are below.<\/p>\n

Hailing from Jamaica Plain, Grutch<\/u> is the tantalizing lo-fi industrialized techno side project of Lex (Vehement Caress<\/u>). Held<\/i> weaves in and out of various moods and themes, driving memorable melodies alongside a variety of beats. Sample here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nycterent<\/u> is the newly emerged project of Jon (formerly Erroraeon<\/u>). Visceral death industrial with an organic edge to it. On the flip is fellow Portland artist Scrotal Tear<\/u> who slathers though-provoking samples over mesh industrial soundscapes. Sample here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both of these tapes are awesome.<\/p>\n
