Controlled Bleeding (Massapequa, NY)
Controlled Bleeding – Trawler’s Song
Controlled Bleeding is a prolific experimental music group based in Massapequa, New York. The group was founded by Paul Lemos, the group’s only consistent member. Most of Controlled Bleeding’s released recordings feature two main collaborators, Chris Moriarty and vocalist Joe Papa, who both died in the late 2000s.
Since their first full-length release in 1983, Controlled Bleeding have released over 30 albums spanning several different …

Existence Establishment is proud to present some words with our own functioning artist Daniel Burfoot the sole entity behind the German power electronics/industrial unit Human Larvae, and the spastic harsh noise project Broken Diode. Having released full-lengths for both projects on Existence Establishment in the past, we’ve decided it was time to catch up on his more current activities.
How was the project Human Larvae created and what is the over-arching concept of the project?
Human Larvae was launched in 2005 after playing around with different styles of dark electronics. I …

Cowards – Forgotten Resonance CD
Semata Productions
Fuck year-end lists, I find it much easier to pick one, yes, just ONE album for the year of 2010 and this would be it. It may seem quite astounding Cowards has crafted such an intense masterpiece considering this is their debut release but when you consider the fact that the duo consists of Jesse Allen – one half of the incredible Cathode Terror Secretion and Nick Pace – the man behind Diaphragm – it is no surprise that they are the architects of this …

On Side A FITH offers a fast paced whirlwind of unrelenting noise complemented by ambient interludes, frantic samples, and rhythmic mayhem.
Side B features the forsaken death industrial tinged power electronics of Salem, MA based Bereft. The brothers in arms behind this 2 man operation being Peter Lee of the long-running Force …

Holzkopf (Montreal, Quebec)
Since 2001, Holzkopf has been developing a style of hypnotic and frenetic dance music made from a mishmash of homemade tape collages, blown out drum machine beats, dumpstered Chinese pop cassettes, raw data noise, barely controled feedback and smashed and grabbed found sounds. The sound is remenicent of proto-industrial, disco, hip-hop, global psychedelia, gospel and breakcore synthesized into a complete unique whole unlike any one component part. This is futurist and anarchist music made on cheap gear, recorded live to tape or dusty old …

Musique Machine just published a new review of Stratvm Terror – This is My Own Hell CD which has been added to the release page and is still available from the shop.
Holding the cover of Stratvm Terrors This Is My Own Hell one can feel a bit of apprehension. The long awaited release is bathed in the artwork of Mia Makila, in what seems to be an ode to Hieronymus Bosch, and quite a good one at that. Released in 2008 in limited copies; eight songs drown the …

By Luis Gonzalez
I caught up with Luis Gonzalez on the Lavas Magmas/Regosphere/The Dios Poject Summer Tour 2010 and asked if he could write a tour guide for me. Here, he covers his own tour experience, offers advice for fellow noisers looking to tour themselves, and reflects on his motivations for doing what he does.
This was my third tour around the two month mark. I went with my friend John (Behavior, What We Do Is Secret) from Portland, OR down to Columbus, OH. John flew home and I picked up my …
